Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape 2001
From the highly regarded 2001 vintage, the Boislauzon fairly immediately enchants with its heavenly “mature” bouquet. From its smooth, satin-textured entry emerges fig, cherry, baked plum, flavors lightly touched by mocha, smoke and spice. Medium bodied, its tannins mostly resolved and quite balanced. This red wine really shows itself after tad of aeration when the silky, elegant and so savory length of flavor rises and elongates. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -Belinda Morgan, January 2007
Food coq au vin, cassoulet, pork, duck confit, steak, venison, lamb, stews.
Wine Advocate
The 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits a dark ruby/purple color as well as a pure bouquet of loamy soil aromas intertwined with balsam wood, earth, briery berry fruit, pepper, and spice. The aromatics are accompanied by a layered, lush, medium to full-bodied palate impression, sweet fruit, and moderate tannin. Cellar this 2001 for 1-2 years and enjoy it over the following 10-12.

Wine Spectator
Lovely, with notes of mesquite-grilled game bird, plum and black currant fruit and extra cedar and mineral facets. Chewy tannins are solid; this just needs a bit more succulent flesh to score outstanding. Drink now through 2010. 3,000 cases ma
