Wow! The nose is love at first sniff blooming with blackberry jam, cake spice, a dab of mint, and black fruit aromas. This wine feels good. Flavorful richness and good concentration engulf the palate but it is sooooo magnificently balanced. This dry red swells with ripe, structured black raspberry and blackberry flavors enhanced by a cool nick of menthol then warm spice. -Belinda Morgan, January 2007

Food meat, mate! Anything from the barbie (not the doll, the grill), stews, lamb, kangaroo, steak, game, robust pastas, sausages, ribs, slightly spicy fare including Asian/fusion.

Wine Advocate A beautiful, pure, intense, concentrated effort is the 2004 Shiraz. A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by aromas of mocha, white chocolate, black cherries, and cassis. This full-bodied, opulent, gorgeous Shiraz can be enjoyed over the next 5-6 years. Score: 90. —Robert Parker, October 2006.

Wine Spectator A polished, generous and sharply focused wine, with plum, blueberry and licorice flavors sailing through the long, supple finish. Drink now through 2014. 6,000 cases imported. Score: 89. —Harvey Steiman, November 15, 2006.
