Ladera Sagrada Castelo do Papa 2005
Absolutely amazing medley of intensely fresh aromas erupt from the glass starting with stone fruits, lime, mineral, dried herb, and even an enticing waft of sea breeze. This light-medium dry white wine delivers cool, striking flavors akin to apple, new pineapple, melon, citrus and mineral. Very refined integration and scrumptious finish. EXCELLENT. The 2005 Papa is 100% Godello aged in stainless steel with no malolactic fermentation. Light straw-colored, and very aromatic (intense mineral, citrus, and lemon-lime notes), this medium-bodied wine has oodles of flavor, excellent concentration, fine balance, and a crisp, refreshing finish. Drink it over the next 12-18 months.
